What does “your huckleberry” mean? In the Old West being a huckleberry meant you were game, up for anything. Oh boy, are we up for anything! Established in the year of chaos, 2020, the founders of Your Huckleberry Farms were released from their corporate shackles and desperately looking for meaning and fulfillment. It was through a meditation of chanting “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” did they find the answers they sought. To help feed those who are food insecure by raising organic heirloom fruits and vegetables and rare heritage animals so we do right by the land and our bodies.
We are a for-profit company with a social mission - Through your purchase at our farms you not only help a small business, but you help generate the funds needed to help those who cannot feed themselves or their families, educate those in the study of permaculture and self sufficiency, and raise endangered species of livestock.
Your Huckleberry Farms produces fresh, organic produce and products from our farm in Ashford, CT.
We want to give our customers delicious vegetables and fruits that are native to both America and Asia. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that variety is a good thing but spending too much isn’t required.
